Detailed Floral Thinlits

What to do with all the pieces cut out from this intricate die? Inlaid Die cut technique.
Very fussy with the Detailed Floral Thinlits Die & just one rose in future for this technique will suffice for me.
The top card is Sweet Sugarplum inlays & Shimmery White C/S die cut, mount piece is Whisper White & card base Sweet Sugarplum,
then for the second card I added inlays in Rich Razzleberry as well & the mounting piece is Old Olive so its not inlaid with the cut out pieces, once again card base is Sweet Sugarplum.
In the pic you can also see a tea light holder, I saw a few on pinterest & had to give one a go in Shimmery White to match.

Sweet Cupcake in sweet sugarplum

Sweet Cupcake Bundle was on the top of my wish list & I finally got a chance to play with it, this card is a 10.5cm square z-fold card, real easy & super sweet.

Bloomin' Love 18th Birthday

Number of Years would have to be the most versatile stamp set with matching Large Numbers Framelits.
This little 4 x 4" card is for my gorgeous niece.
Bermuda Bay re-inker used on watercolour paper for the heart.

Butterfly Birthday Party

The theme for my daughters 13th Birthday was Butterflies. Colours Caostal Cabana, Calypso Coral & Gold.
The party favors were so simple, some lollies in a sealable C6 cello bag, cinched in the middle with a peg covered in washi tape with a die cut butterfly attached, the back a stamped thank you.
I love the butterfly branch that was the centrepiece for the main table.
I embellished some pretty paper straws with butterflies like I did here. Also used for the tea bags.
The cute candle was put together using some pieces I had left over & it looked so sweet with a little more than just washi tape, which is what I normally do with tea lights.
The party had to include some crafting so this year the girls took instant photo's with the frames we altered (a little help from my dear friend Louey) to use on an easel card, a lovely momento, keepsake.

Dress Up Framelits Collection

Wedding Rose
I had a few dress's designed so last night I put them all on cards.
The elegant black, crumb cake & vanilla "Wedded Rose" is La crème de la crème & my mon choix de l'ensemble.
Not far behind is the "More Amore" Fabric Real Red & Pool Party & this layout is so far the best suited & balanced I think & therefore the make-n-take for my team meeting tonight.
I have to say I have enjoyed creating with the Dress Up Framelits more than any other product to date.
Don't you just love the scarf on "Print Poetry" I frayed the edges of Crumb Cake Seam Binding.
The centre flowers on "Champagne Calypso Floral" have a dot (owl punch) of Champagne Glimmer paper on them, very fussy assembling this one, but worth the work I think. "Print Form" I wasn't sure about but was a like from my recent class.
I had to have a play & extend the dress so tried on Red Glimmer paper, just quickly put this one together, I think it needs some final touches? I do love the Acetate Oval which I did for both "Wedding Rose" & "Red Glimmer".

1D Birthday card

A friend asked me to make a card for her daughters 14th birthday that was telling her she had a ticket to see 1D (still waiting on actual ticket) & this is what I came up with. I printed some ID pics & used a couple. Colour was chosen to suit the pics & is Poppy Parade, I made an extra insert for a Birthday message in case she wanted to to use it as an actual card as well. All happy with how it turned out.

Betsy's Blossoms

Floral District DSP is so cheerful & a little retro which I really like, the colour combo's of the cards below are inspired by those in the DSP. They are quick & easy cards to make with a few different techniques. The White KIS no layer card has been wheeled with "Betsy's Blooms" wheel & the greeting is from "Curly Cute" stamp set embellished with the largest Bloom stamp that has been punched with the 2 3/8" scallop Circle punch & punched again by inserting it back into the punch (attach a strip to the back to use as a handle) to create a sunflower. I inked up the bird in baja Breeze & used a sponge Dauber with Midnight muse on the wings to make these pop. "Itty Bitty Banners" stamp set & Framelits were used on the other 2 cards, the Rich Razzleberry one also has the hearts Adorning Accents Folder embossed along the bottom & paper pierced around the top of the 2 1/2" circle & I used the Little leaves Sizzlets for the branches & Itty Bitty punch pack for the flowers with pearls in the centres. The pouch is a piece of 8" squared DSP  scored on the Diagonal plate, there are a few tutorials on you tube & in different sizes if you want to make one of these, they are super easy & no adhesive.

Blooming With Kindness Stamp Set

As soon as I mounted this set I knew what to do with it, remember this card here. It's the same technique.
Ingredients:
"Blooming With Kindness" stamp set, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White & Vellum CS, Stazon black ink, Rhinestone Jewels -love the 2 joined together on the ends of the Lucky Limeade Twine, we were shown this clever idea at Convention.
This one is a CASE, (I just used different Ribbon) I loved it so much. It was done in a few different colours & all looked great but I had the Daffodil & White CS out so went with that, it's on my list of cards to make to try a few more colours, this layout & stamping so suits this set.

Apothecary Art

Colour combo inspred by the colours in Twitterpated DSP. I love this fold & it fits the Framelits perfectly.

The Edgelits & matching Folders are used on the next 2 & I edged an envelope to co-ordinate.

Box Pleated dress in Attic Boutique

It's time for an updated box pleated dress & Attic Boutique DSP is perfect for just that. I received an email requesting more detailed instructions, a video would be best so I will work on that if not step by step pics over the weekend & post soon. I recently saw on Angela's blog her very clever idea on how to make ribbon buckles & my dress just had to have one, I used smaller punches for my buckle which is a bit more fiddlier but mini glue dots to the rescue keeping it all in place. I made the Jewellery tag longer & the fabulous stamped image is from "Oval All" stamp set, I also used "Creative Elements" for the flourishes & inside the card has 40 die cut in Glimmer Paper (carried over from the summer mini -yay!) with Timeless Type Junior Alphabet sizzlets & mounted on the smallest Framelits Labels Collection die cut out in Pool Party, I used some matching Twine on the tag to tie those colours in.
I have two 40th cards to make this week so back with another soon.

Everyday Enchantment Birthday

A challenge layout that I didn't enter but liked & one I will try again. I love the colour combo (Pool Party, Poppy Parade & Confetti White) & the way the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch looks layered with DSP. Required 4 x 40th Birthday cards in 1 week so I added the 40 Glimmer Die cut, I sponged it with Crumb Cake on this one to tone it down a little. I sold 4 of my sample cards this way & all for 40th's & all looked like they were created to have the 40 on them, so next time you need a personalized birthday # card just die cut the #'s from Glimmer paper.

Topsy Turvy Celebration

Topsy Turvy Celebration stamp set was not on my wishlist but I was lucky to get it for free as an incentive gift from Stampin' Up! & I'm so happy I did. I finally inked it up yesterday & really had fun creating this bright, funky set of 3. Colours co-ordinate with Cheerful Treat DSP (hostess gift). I thought the handbag here was supercute & clever so had to case.

I love how pretty the ribbon weaving looks on the Perfect Pennant Doily die.

Because I Care & Creative Elements

So much to do to prepare for the new catalogue. Some retired products have already sold out so don't wait to place an order if there's something you want on the list, click here to view.
I'm still deciding weather or not to keep this set or add it to my 40+ retired sets list that I will be selling at my catalogue launch on 10th September in Sydney. I have gone through all my stamps & ribbons (I find it hard to part with ribbon) & have decided to sell another 30+ of my favourite stamp sets & ribbons that I couldn't part with from the past 4 Stampin' Up! years! I really need to make way for all the new product in the new Catalogue & my craft room is getting to cramped!
I was lucky this year to get 3 stamp sets as awards, a free bundle for my title (pennant parade stamp set matching Punch, Ribbon, chipboard & DSP) & 3 stamp sets for attending Convention plus a simply sent kit. Along with my pre-order of all the new in-colours, the gorgeous lace Ribbon Border Punch, Delicate Doilies stamp set, specialty DSP & pennant die that all co-ordinate, oh & I almost forgot some gorgeous fabric, you would think I  have more than enough, well I do but I I'm so looking forward to the 1st September so I can order a few more must have products from my wishlist! like Seam Binding (Kraft is used on No3 card) I can see me using alot of it, coloured embossing powder, some really cool embossing folders & gorgeous DSP, the list goes on but this will be my first order oh & I will be doing ribbon shares again this year & will have the info here on my blog on the 1st September.
Here's a little sneak peak of the first cards I made with "Creative Elements", I had bits left over from the make-n-takes we did & just enough to create these gift cards. Everyone who attended convention got this gorgeous stamp set.
Call or email me to get your copy of the new 2011-2012 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalogue.

Haiku DSP & Bird Punch card

My go at making over this card which I discovered by seeing this card by another one of my favourite stampers Andrea Walford, who's Blog I subscibe to. I used Haiku DSP with colours that co-ordinate & of course the Bird Punch, I love it sitting ontop of the Tags. The only thing I wasn't happy about this card was the hole punch size that the Linen thread is tied through, I should have just pierced it or used the smaller handheld one (which I've just ordered!) I must make another when it comes in & try some other DSP, I just love the layout & I'm thinking my Heart Bikini would look good to.
