Last day of Sale A Bration

Before it's over I wanted to post these super quick & easy creations that use some Sale-A-Bration products.
The first is a 3x3 card using "Banner Blast" Stamp set & coordinating Banner Punch, one of my favourite choices from the Sale-A-Bration products on offer. I also used "Hardwood" background stamp, some Gold Bakers Twine & Gold Sequin from the current Occasions Catalogue.
The second  project is a 3 1/2" square piece of Sweet Sorbet DSP, this pack has been great, I used a couple of the other prints in this pack on Teya's invites here. Anyway I used my envelope punch board & scored the 3 1/2" piece at 1/2 an inch, continuing to turn the DSP & score using the previous score line as my guide to get the 2 3/4" x  1/ 1/2" I needed to wrap a Cadbury freddo frog that you buy in a share pack, I rounded 2 corners like for an envelope & tied with some Sweet Sorbet twine -another free SAB choice, love how thick this twine is. I also used "Starburst Sayings" stamp set & coordinating Starburst Dies from the Occasions Catalogue. You have until 30 June to get Occasions catalogue products but only until tomorrow to get SAB freebies, for every $90 order you get to choose a free SAB product. Call or email me if you would like to place an order or go straight to my online store here.

Pretty Petites gift card holder

This cute little gift card holder uses 1/2 sheet of  A4 CS & 2 pieces of DSP that measure 7 x 10cm to decorate the front & inside.
Instructions:
Fold your CS in 1/2 as you would a std card then open & fold in 1/2 again the other way so you end up with 4 rectagles.

Fold the card in half (folded edge is along the bottom) & cut a triangle 2 layers of CS at once as shown in pic.

Place cut off triangle piece folded in the embossing folder, & run through the bigshot with no tabs.
Tip: Trim the longest edge of the triangle a little prior to embossing or you will have to trim all 3 points to fit nicely as pockets in the holder later.
Apply sticky strip to the 2 edges shown in pic below & adhere the triangle embossed piece so it is in place on the sticky strip then fold up the card holder & adhere to form the 2 pockets.

Adhere the DSP to the front, cut the other piece in half diagonally & adhere those to the inside.

Tie some ribbon/twine around the entire front piece to keep the middle triangle piece in place as it is only adhered with a small amount of sticky strip, it will also keep your gift card from falling out.

Decorate as desired. Holds a tea bag & note card nicely.

1D Birthday card

A friend asked me to make a card for her daughters 14th birthday that was telling her she had a ticket to see 1D (still waiting on actual ticket) & this is what I came up with. I printed some ID pics & used a couple. Colour was chosen to suit the pics & is Poppy Parade, I made an extra insert for a Birthday message in case she wanted to to use it as an actual card as well. All happy with how it turned out.

Betsy's Blossoms

Floral District DSP is so cheerful & a little retro which I really like, the colour combo's of the cards below are inspired by those in the DSP. They are quick & easy cards to make with a few different techniques. The White KIS no layer card has been wheeled with "Betsy's Blooms" wheel & the greeting is from "Curly Cute" stamp set embellished with the largest Bloom stamp that has been punched with the 2 3/8" scallop Circle punch & punched again by inserting it back into the punch (attach a strip to the back to use as a handle) to create a sunflower. I inked up the bird in baja Breeze & used a sponge Dauber with Midnight muse on the wings to make these pop. "Itty Bitty Banners" stamp set & Framelits were used on the other 2 cards, the Rich Razzleberry one also has the hearts Adorning Accents Folder embossed along the bottom & paper pierced around the top of the 2 1/2" circle & I used the Little leaves Sizzlets for the branches & Itty Bitty punch pack for the flowers with pearls in the centres. The pouch is a piece of 8" squared DSP  scored on the Diagonal plate, there are a few tutorials on you tube & in different sizes if you want to make one of these, they are super easy & no adhesive.

3 x 3 card gift set for a dear friend who loves tea -perfect! The pocket pouch is a sheet of 12 x 12 Twitterpated DSP origami folded to house 3 items & there a few variations of this pouch. Originally I made this one & it held a couple of tea bags, gift card & biscuit in the middle. Now it serves 6 gorgeous gift cards & matching envelopes.

Dreams Du Jour cards

Bella DS papers here again!!! I guess I'm loving them, anyhow I cased the top one from Splitcoast & then made the Pacific Point one as it's a great design for this stamp, not much to it really, the size is 4x4"'s & both have the gorgeous Tafetta ribbons in Riding Hood Red & Kiwi Kiss. The second card has DS paper just on the lower half, the top half is randomly stamped with the very nice butterfly from this set. I used a Blender Pen to colour the images & the lid of the ink pads as a palette.

Wild Rose 3x3 cards

So many of my favourite stamp sets are retiring :-( & "Wild Rose" is one of them, along with the 2008-2009 incolours; Wild Wasabi, Blue Bayou & Soft Sky & the DS papers I used in this set. I love making 3x3 cards, they are so quick & so easy to layout & their are so many options! I also love 2 step stamps (you may need to use a Stamp-a-ma-jig) but I did these free hand, the outline (highlight) image in Blue Bayou & the solid (infill) image in Soft Sky. If you only have 1 inkpad say Blue Bayou & you still want the 2 tones of blue in the rose you can ink up the solid image & stamp the ink off once onto scrap paper before stamping on your card, you can get up to 4 monochromatic tones from 1 inkpad depending on its depth of colour to start.

A Lovenote box & cards & envelopes to match, for my dear friend Nadine.
If you havn't already tried one of these box's, why not give one a go tomorrow, email me for the instructions. Here are some other samples.
Here's how I dry embossed the edge of the lid with the Crop-A-Dile using the A1 setting -make sure you get the A in the centre of the template before squeezing the handle, you will warp the plastic template if your not careful.

Patterned paper or So Swirly Wheel??? I like them both. These cards look famililiar? they are cased from the eScape promotion flyer, a few different colours, ribbons, but the layout is great & so easy. Once again the combinations are almost endless.

stamping again!

Well I had to interupt the unpacking & get some stamping in (feeling withdrawals) I made these cello bags as displayed in the momento mall at convention for my downlines. I had to have a play with Fun & Fast Notes as well, whipped together several love notes (3"x3") in no time.
