Super quick & super cute for the dads having lunch with us today. It took me 15mins to pop these together.
Retired DSP stack, this size is great for the sour cream favor. I just love the mustache framelit, perfect for many projects & here it adds the perfect embellishment.

By The Tide Birthday catch
As soon as I saw "By the Tide" stamp set in the seasonal catalogue I knew I would get lots of use from it & I have, especially for masculine cards. Here is a simple but effective way to use it. I used a skewer for the rod & some Twine for the line. Colours are River Rock, Not Quite Navy & Tangerine Tango. This was a class card & everyone loved it's simplicity & effect.

Masculine cards
I needed 20+ masculine cards in a hurry to refill my mum & MIL'S birthday books that I made & gifted them last year. So in a couple of hours I managed to whip up these using various stamp sets. I'm making another Birthday book & will share that once completed.

Up, Up & Away
In the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalogue there's a product suite called BIG TOP which "Up, Up & Away" stamp set is from & they are all so much fun. Fabulous for kids & adults alike, so bright & cheerful although can look great also in Regals & masculine like in pic 2,. The first one I meant to give Matt for Valentines -oops, we don't celebrate it anyway so not feeling guilty. I will just change the sentiment to Happy Birthday & give it to him then, LOL. The second card was a design for my class & I loved it so I made several for family & friends Birthdays this month. The Postage stamp actually swings which is attached with a mini brad to the Cherry Cobbler layer. I used the Striped embossing folder on the Not Quite navy piece & the card base is Confetti Cream -I love that this is a thicker gauge than the Very Vanilla CS & use it or Naturals Ivory as a card base. Confetti White is a great alternative to Whisper White. I love the White & Vanilla for stamping crisp clean images & no layer cards but if you want a sturdier card then try the alternatives mentioned. I'll be back tomorrow to show you Teya's Birthday card in the same suite, "Under the Big Top".

Extreme Surfboard card
A quick & easy card where the image has been shadow stamped. First inked up the image in Not Quite Navy ink & stamped onto a piece of Baja Breeze, then I stamped again over the top with White Craft ink, I used a SAMJ to align where I wanted the shadow to be.
The Square Lattice embossing folder has been carried over from the Summer Mini so still available to order. The strip of DSP is retired. I finished the card with a couple of Silver Brads.

SAB finishes today :-( & blog awards ;
Before SAB ends I wanted to show a couple of more cards, I can't remember where I got the inspiration for the first card (stamping the owls & then popping one up) but I loved it & had to case. The gorgeous "Bliss" card was made by Tracey my downline, an inspiration to me for scrapbooking.
My apologies for being a slack blogger since my pc crashed & I lost everything! it's been a long and slow process getting 4 yrs of work back up to date. Anyway I still have been creating madly, running classes/workshops regularly but haven't been posting all projects on my blog or even visiting all the blogs that inspire me, so lots of catching up to do!
The Liebster Blog, which translate from German, into 'Dearest Blog' is designed to bring attention to new blogs, or blogs with fewer than 300 followers & I must pass this on to 3 talented Stamper blogs that I admire.
This next award was given to me by Fiona, such a beautiful person & blog, thanks Fi, xxAnd very quickly 8 things about myself are;
I create best under pressure
I eat way to much
I love wine & dislike beer
I spend to much money on beautiful things including stamps! I still haven't mounted some!
I prefer giving rather than receiving
I'm a tad fussy
I stamp 'till 3am alot! therefore not a morning person, when I wake up I so look like a frog, LOL, I often wish I could trade places with my cat so I can laze around & cat nap without feeling guilty.
I need coffee to wake up! "no coffee no workie"
I pass this one to Claire, Teneale & Chiaki
gorgeous creations & inspirations.

I have received 2 blog awards this month & am very thankful for those, it's nice to know my blog is inspiring even though it's very basic, LOL. On my very long to do list I have written monetize blog! which I hope to do soon so it's much more user friendly & you can look at projects categorized.
This first award was given to me by Suzie, thank you so much Suzie for this award & your kind words, I am now a follower of your beautiful blog. I was beaten to the post! I had all intention passing this award onto Renee for JDV House
hmm wonder if it's ok to get an award twice in this situation?

Curly Label Punch masculine card
Another sneak peek here of a new greetings stamp set coming that co-ordinates with Punches, here it's the Wide Oval. I saw this idea on Stampin Pretty's blog. I lined up my patches differently, it was a bit tricky as the Curly Label Punch is not square, but I really like the effect. Colours are Sage Shadow (retiring), Chocolate Chip & Kraft (Colour change to Crumb Cake) withWindsor Knot DSP.
I've finished another topnote card & taken pics, just need to download from my camera & then I will post it.

Trendy Trees masculine cards
A little sneak peak has snuck in here that will be in the new catalogue , I recieved it as a sales award at convention & have loved every card I have used it on, can't wait to show you the others. Below is a close up, I designed it for my demo shoebox swap we had last month using the topnote as a card (place the doubled cs on the die just below the cutting edge on the fold & layer a complete single topnote decorated on that), hope that makes sense. I'm in the middle of another topnote card & will post that next with some pics & instructions.

Tie Card & Cake
MDH celebrated his Birthday on the weekend & he requested a Black Forrest cake, well I baked all day!!! And as for his card, that took only a few minutes, he often comments on the ribbons on my cards & not in a nice way, but he really liked this one -goes to prove ribbons can be very Masculine. The greeting is a stamp from a new set that's coming in September, so a little sneakpeek. I saw the idea of the Tie made by Mary Fisch (a favourite stamper of mine) & just had to make one, oh & while your on her site, take a look at her stamp studio pics, It is so beautiful & well designed. I hope to I have one very similar one day, zzzzzzzz.

Masculine card with Junior Alphabet Dies
I purchased the Alphabet Dies so that I could create quick & personalised cards & to use for scrapbooking, which I hope to make use of all the gorgeous retiring DSP that I still have.
I made this card in my masculine marathon I challenged myself to (13 cards in 2 nights) yes they were late ones & a few I cased. I often hear from fellow card makers that they find it difficult to come up with something original that they are really happy with & I to sometimes feel the same, so when this happens I surf the net & as I see something I like I sketch & write it in a notebook, it may be just a colour combo & or stamp set combo or layout, this is more than enough inspiration to get creating, I even get inspired by looking through my own card stash that I've kept for that reason.
Supplies;
Junior Alphabet dies, A Happy Heart Stamp set,
Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand & Ruby Red CS,
Always Artichoke Ink,
Autumn TradItions DSP, Vintage Brads &Spiral Punch.

Cheers to you card
"Cheers to you" stamp set will do it.
Colours are Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black & Whisper White -I just love the styish & elegant look Black & White gives. I watercoloured the cocktail with ink & a blender pen & fished the card off with some Black Gingham ribbon. I should get a set of these done as it would make a lovely gift set.

Chunky Glitter
I made the live laugh & love card from last months demonstrator online extras -one of the benefits of being a SU Demonstrator is monthly project recipes & samples.

I used Sticky Strip to adhere the Chunky glitter,

I was then inspired to frame the fish from "Ocean Commotion" with chunky Glitter,
I used both square punches (for the Sage Shadow fish & Choc Chip mount) I stamped "Embrace Life" in Chocolate Chip ink on med Twill Tape & tied it through a Hodge Podge Buckle & frayed the edges, I also scored a border on the Choc Chip card that has "Linen" background.

Crab & Company Gift Wallet

Here's a Gift Wallet I made last year for our fabulous friends that share their holiday house on Stradbroke Is with us. I have been sorting through my photo's trying to make room for new ones & came across a few good ones that I havn't shared, hence the lack of posting new creations on my blog this year, & due to many celebrations my Stamping has been on long service leave lol!
Anyway back to Crab & Co, colours are Soft Sky, Really Rust & Old Olive as they co-ordinate with the Fall Flowers DS paper that I chose, I got my Crimper out for this one & sponged it, it's hard to see in the pic but this looks great & rustic, which is the look I wanted for this wallet.
I'll be back soon with some cards I've made recently, just need to clear some more files before I can download them.
