Spectrum Silhouettes

I've finally mastered the art of Brayering (well I think I have) I bought the Pumkin Patch Spectrum pad many months ago along with the Brayer & thought I really need to make some cards & practice this technique, well here it is! I've used Pumkin Pie ink & stamped the linen background on Pumkin Pie card -hard to see here, but it really makes a big difference, I inked up my brayer with the Pumkin Patch Spectrum pad, I sponged the Brayer to blend the colours together & simply rolled back & forth on Whisper White Card Stock. The stem from "Stem Silhouettes" is inked in Basic Black ink & is then mounted on Basic Black card stock, I wrapped with a little Linen Thread, the greeting is from "All Year Cheer 1". I love this set! I have really got so much use from it.
I'm back from Perth & we had the best time catching up with our very dear friends & the wedding was just beautiful. I'm excited to be back as I have my "Bunny hugs" set from the Summer mini, to make some Easter cards & "All Year Cheer 1" has a great Happy Easter stamp in the set. I will post as soon as I get a chance to keepstamping!

Dream Come True

I'm off to Perth for a wedding! so I made this gift wallet -I'm pretty happy how it turned out. The stamp set is Dream Come True, I've embossed the little hearts & flowered heart (cut & mounted on Ruby Red) I ran Silver Metalic card stock throught the crimper & created a band that slides off & holds the card folded when in place, -finished off with some white organdy ribbon.

Natural Beauty in Rich Regals

Faux Tearing technique with the "Floral" background stamp inked in Regal Rose on same Cardstock. The flower from "Natural Beauty" is stamped with Stazon on Water colour Paper & colured with Markers, I then blended the colours with the Aquapainter, I sponged the edges with Always Artichoke & mounted on to Rose Red & again on So Saffron. Cherish from "Warm Words" is inked in Rose Red & punched out with the Word Window punch, I also sponged the edges with Always Artichoke, the organdy Ribbon is Olive.

Bud Basics Gift Wallet

I just love creating these Gift Certificate Wallets, (can also be used as a money wallet), these make Gift shopping easy. A Card & Gift all in one!
here's how I made this one;
Start with an A4 sheet of card stock, here I used Cool Caribbean (retiring soon) I will be so sad to see it go, along with all the other In Colours.

step 1. Place the A4 sheet horizontally in your cutter & score at 3" & 7" & then cut at 9"
step 2. Wheel Basic Outline Stampin' Around Jumbo (from the summer mini)with Tempting Turquoise cartridge (ink) & highlight as shown in pic with White gel pen, I also added a little Glitter to a few of the flower centres -just with 2 way glue.
step 3. Fold at both score lines (inwards), & adhere the bottom fold along the edges for a money pouch, or use a slit punch to hold a certificate in the centre.
step 4. Wrap around White Grosgrain Ribbon & adhere only to the top, under where you will adhere the centre flower. The ribbon holds the card folded, you can tie a bow if prefered or simply tie a small length of Tempting Turquoise Ribbon, that can be slid down & off the white ribbon when the card is opened.
step 5. 2 Step Stampin in Tempting Turquoise & Cool Caribbean with Bud Basics set, then cut the flowers out, add a few Tempting Turquoise Brads & adhere with Dimensionals on the top edge.
step 6. Run Tempting Turquoise Card Stock through the Crimper & adhere where desired with snail adhesive.
I'm off to make another!

merci

This colour combination would have to be my favourite; Ruby Red, Sage Shadow & Chocolate Chip. I was inspired to make this card with slight variation, designed by the very talented Teneale Williams. I also added a bit of background stamping on the Sage Shadow & I went with my three favourite colours & added a button.

Merci

Sale-A-Brate Valentines with the Merci Stamp Set!
Rich & Regal: TAKEN WITH TEAL & REGAL ROSE cardsock & inks.
I inked the flower/heart image in Stazon on watercolour paper & coloured with crayons using the Aquapainter, I added a little So Saffron colour on the stem & inserted a Brad in the centre of the flower. I find using 3 colours & each used at least twice, gives a perfect balance to the card design. The ribbons are from the Summer Mini. I hope you are inspired to make your loved one a Valentines card!
