Fresh Cuts thankyou card

Well this layout & stamp set got a workout & this time with Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Chocolate Chip & a little Kiwi Kiss, another great colour combo.
Ingredients:
"Fresh Cuts" stamp set, colours above, 5 petal flower punch, chocolate tafetta ribbon, 1/2 pearl, paper snips, cutter kit (for roughing the edges), dimensionals, mini glue dots (for ribbon & pearl), snail & sponge daubers.

I thought it about time I try a kwernerdesign colour challenge, a fabulous designer who I admire for her dedication & inspiration on her blog.

















I was looking for a new colour combo for this card & thought colour challenge! Even though there's not much to this card, thanks to it being a great set of stamps, I think these colours are just perfect!

Baja Breeze & Kiwi Kiss

The new in colours are a delight! & I really love the colour combo here, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss with either Not Quite Navy or Basic Grey! I just wanted to show a peek of how the new catalogue has inspired me. I'm happy to see "Embrace Life" make it from the Summer mini, "One of a Kind" back from Spring & I have a new set "Fresh Cuts" that you will see some more of real soon.

Ingredients:
Occasional Greetings stamp set.
Rose Red, Regal Rose & Whisper White cardsock, DS paper, markers, 1.6cm Regal Rose Grosgrain ribbon.

Wild Rose 3x3 cards

So many of my favourite stamp sets are retiring :-( & "Wild Rose" is one of them, along with the 2008-2009 incolours; Wild Wasabi, Blue Bayou & Soft Sky & the DS papers I used in this set. I love making 3x3 cards, they are so quick & so easy to layout & their are so many options! I also love 2 step stamps (you may need to use a Stamp-a-ma-jig) but I did these free hand, the outline (highlight) image in Blue Bayou & the solid (infill) image in Soft Sky. If you only have 1 inkpad say Blue Bayou & you still want the 2 tones of blue in the rose you can ink up the solid image & stamp the ink off once onto scrap paper before stamping on your card, you can get up to 4 monochromatic tones from 1 inkpad depending on its depth of colour to start.
