A Happy Heart card

I made this cute little 4x4 card for Teya a few days ago & she spotted it today, so it's back to the drawing board I go! I'll be up late making her another tonight. I guess I was a little lazy & serves myself right as I cased this card from splitcoast & had already worked out how to do the medallion layers with the scallop edge punch & had them ready for a card (not specifically for Teya's!). I should have put more thought into it, none the less I wanted to share my little blunder & this cute card. I'll be back to share with you the card I end up giving her soon.
In the meantime here's a Gift Certificate Wallet I made last night & express posted today. I just loved Alley's clever idea on using the Linen Thread for the ribbon on the Gift. The closure works well (seen in previous post) & I had to add the balloons as the width of the wallet needed something more, I was real happy with it & it did look better IRL (most do I guess).

Supplies:
"Happy Moments" & "Big Bold Birthday" stamp sets.
Pink Pirouette DSP, Sahara Sand, Pretty in Pink & Whisper White CS, inks, Pretty in Pink marker, Linen Thread, Dazzling Diamond & 2way glue, Word Window 1" & 1/2" circle punches & Rhinestone Brad.

Candy box

As soon as I saw this box (US regional project) on Angie's blog (chicnscratch) I had to CASE it.  All my class attendees loved it "package 4 of 4".
Haiku DSP & CS colours to match. The More Mustard 5 Petal Flower has been stamped with the happy from "Life's Definitions" Stamp set & the petals have been curled several times like you would to curl curling Ribbon with scissors to distress them to the point where it breaks the paper fibres & peels apart -we learnt this little trick at regionals last year.

My next class will be a SAS (9cards) click on my SU website on the right for further details listed under events.

Sweet Basket

I just love these super quick & cute little baskets.
I first made one a little more involved here a few years ago! They have been around for a long time but I couldn't resist it for the little easter eggs, I was happy it was loved & not seen before as package 3 of 4 in my classes. This one is only 6" x 6" to start, scored at 2" on all 4 sides, then scored again in each 2" square diagonally to form triangles in the 2" squares, it's simply folded then on all score marks, hole punched close to each triangle tip to insert the Ribbon that holds it together -no adhering! I used Sweet Slumber Specialty DSP so it's real sturdy & really needed no decorating, I think the So Saffron striped Ribbon finishes it off just enough. For a bigger basket start with 9" x 9" scored at 3" or even 12" x 12" scored at 4". The 6" x 6" is my favourite & makes a gorgeous gift to give this easter, I'll definately be making a few more.

Box Card

A card that's a present! also called an explosion box 'cause when you take the lid off the box pops open & reveals the sentiment. This one is very basic as I designed it for my packaging classes & had to get through 4 packages in 2hrs, which we did quite easily. I have scheduled the other projects automatically over the next 3 days.

Happy Moments

Between the renovations, the constant visitors (which I love having), a new computor (still in the progress of file saving!) & a quick flight to the Hunter Valley for a wedding last weekend - phew. I'm finally getting back into some routine & with Teya back at school, I have managed to still find time to stamp!
I like the way this Thankyou card turned out, it could have any of the 3 greetings in the SAB set "Happy Moments". I've teamed it up with "Baroque Motifs".
Colours are Elegant Eggplant & Old Olive. I just took the pic & the lighting was bad, so I grabbed a torch -well you could say it's turned out interesting & I actually quite like it. The Cupid/Angel "Gabriel" is special & ready for Valentines,  he was meant to be in the background but I couldn't crop him so he stayed in the main frame.

Our Pool is finished!

Finally the pool was finished & filled on the 22 January. We did however enjoy having the Pavillion/Entertaining area finished in time for my family who arrived on boxing day.

A pic taken from our kitchen after the coping & tile band was laid & below when we finally could fill the pool with excitement & anticipation. I was so happy with the colours I chose, from the Black Glass tileband in the pool to the Honed sandstone that surrounds it, the semi-frameless glass pool fence & especially the Icelandia terrazzo-like polished Concrete Matt did -that in particular looks amazing. The painters are still going on the outside of the house as we had some extra rendering done, & then all we need to do is some landscaping.
