Up, Up & Away

 In the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalogue there's a product suite called BIG TOP which "Up, Up & Away" stamp set is from & they are all so much fun. Fabulous for kids & adults alike, so bright & cheerful although can look great also in Regals & masculine like in pic 2,. The first one I meant to give Matt for Valentines -oops, we don't celebrate it anyway so not feeling guilty. I will just change the sentiment to Happy Birthday & give it to him then, LOL. The second card was a design for my class & I loved it so I made several for family & friends Birthdays this month. The Postage stamp actually swings which is attached with a mini brad to the Cherry Cobbler layer. I used the Striped embossing folder on the Not Quite navy piece & the card base is Confetti Cream -I love that this is a thicker gauge than the Very Vanilla CS & use it or Naturals Ivory as a card base. Confetti White is a great alternative to Whisper White. I love the White & Vanilla for stamping crisp clean images & no layer cards but if you want a sturdier card then try the alternatives mentioned. I'll be back tomorrow to show you Teya's Birthday card in the same suite, "Under the Big Top".

Showered with gifts!

Matt came home with gifts for his girls! We missed him & he us during his recent trip to Las Vegas, New Orleans, London, France, Switzerland, & I can't remember where else. We are very spoilt but loved it.

 These are some of mine, I can't believe I got more, some runners, a wind/rain jacket, an outfit from Gap & some dress jewellery as well!!! very unexpected.

I had to wait to post this pic, 'till Teya's Birthday as she often checks my blog & would have seen some of gifts. How gorgeous is the bomber jacket he purchased in France. We are blessed to have such a wonderful husband/father & one who is a great shopper.

Stampin Up! fabric

I love that Stampin' Up! do all the work for us when it comes to creating beautiful co-ordinating projects & the Fabric takes our creativity so much further. The postage punch makes the DSP look like fabric when actually teamed up with Fabric flowers , see how to make these simple but effective fabric flowers here, apart from a little snipping of fabric & sewing with needle & thread there's not much to these cards, they are nice & simple & take only a few minutes to make.

Birthday Invites

 Double digits for our Our little girl this year! Petite Pocket invites in her favourite colour. Not sure to add the butterfly? I just have to print the inserts, add a tab to the top & some ribbon. I will miss the Glimmer paper (currently available in the summer mini) but I have a feeling (fingers crossed) it will carry over.

Birthday Card Book

 I have 2 more places available for my class in Sydney next Saturday & this is what we will be making, (ex the cards in pic). Each page has a pocket to pop cards into & has January - December which is where you write the Birthdays of who will receive cards. The inside back cover has an envelope attached for postage stamps.
Once you have made one of these you will be inspired to fill it & will be organised!
Makes a beautiful thoughtful gift.

Topsy Turvy Celebration

Topsy Turvy Celebration stamp set was not on my wishlist but I was lucky to get it for free as an incentive gift from Stampin' Up! & I'm so happy I did. I finally inked it up yesterday & really had fun creating this bright, funky set of 3. Colours co-ordinate with Cheerful Treat DSP (hostess gift). I thought the handbag here was supercute & clever so had to case.

I love how pretty the ribbon weaving looks on the Perfect Pennant Doily die.
