Box Pleated dress in Attic Boutique

It's time for an updated box pleated dress & Attic Boutique DSP is perfect for just that. I received an email requesting more detailed instructions, a video would be best so I will work on that if not step by step pics over the weekend & post soon. I recently saw on Angela's blog her very clever idea on how to make ribbon buckles & my dress just had to have one, I used smaller punches for my buckle which is a bit more fiddlier but mini glue dots to the rescue keeping it all in place. I made the Jewellery tag longer & the fabulous stamped image is from "Oval All" stamp set, I also used "Creative Elements" for the flourishes & inside the card has 40 die cut in Glimmer Paper (carried over from the summer mini -yay!) with Timeless Type Junior Alphabet sizzlets & mounted on the smallest Framelits Labels Collection die cut out in Pool Party, I used some matching Twine on the tag to tie those colours in.
I have two 40th cards to make this week so back with another soon.

Tea Shoppe stamp set

"Tea Shoppe" Stamp set along with lots of other gorgeous new Autumn Winter mini products that co-ordinate so effortlessly. First starting with the colour combo which is the palette chosen for the beautiful Attic Boutique DSP, Poppy Parade, Pool Party, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight, Very Vanilla & Whisper White. The Framelits Labels Collection, Edgelits Adorning Accents & Adorning Accents embossing folders are a must have & don't you just love the divine Pleated Satin Ribbon -I used the Pear Pizzaz which went best for my colour scheme here but it also comes in 3 other colours that are all as equally beautiful. A little bit of Pool Party Bakers Twine on a couple which now comes in all 5 of the 2011-2013 in colours.

Easter traditions

Wax resist dyed eggs -a beutiful tradition for easter in Croatia. Are they not amazing? a real art to create. Over 250 were made for Caritas by my sisters friend who has continued the this Croatian tradition -the true spirit of Easter. The eggs need to be white to take the colour but I love the texture of just the waxed ones (when you dye the eggs after painting with wax it melts & resists the colour). The painting is done with a special needle & to see the hand move to form the patterns is something else. It will be difficult to crack these beauties but the tradition & game we play is to each have an egg to bang together with each other, if it cracks you eat it & the one that dosen't keeps cracking the others & is then the winner, I hope I am so I can keep mine for  a bit to admire & apparently after some time it becomes hollow as long it has no cracks.
A weaved Easter basket I made for Teya's easter egg hunt & pic of it full after she hunted, it held together real well!

Happy Easter

Easter Blessings to you & your loved ones & hoping you make happy memories with family & friends over the Easter holidays.
Stay safe, be happy & keepstamping!

This card was inspired by the cutest little card on pg 80 of the Idea Book & Catalogue. The clouds are created with the cupcake punch. Daffodil Delight & Elegant Eggplant to me are perfect colours for easter, very royal.
The bird is from "Sweetheart" stamp set, Happy Easter greeting from "Teeny Tiny Sentiments" & the flower from "Itty Bitty Bits" & I just drew the stem with a marker.

Attic Boutique Explosion purse card

The explosion box card scored with an extra V closes into a purse & instead of the Top note die which is also a great topper & fit I had to top this one with the new Framelits Dies (largest & next down). This purse is made with a 12 x 12 sheet of Soft Suede Textured CS scored at 4" on all 4 sides. You can see where the extra V is made in pic 2.
I used Daffodil Delight 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon cut in half lengthways & then singed to seal the ends with a lighter as it was to wide. The floral image is from "Tea Shoppe" my favourite new stamp set which has had a lot of inking up, I will post some of those in the next few days. In the meantime check out the new Autumn -  Winter mini online by clicking on it over on the right & if you would like a copy just pop me an email.

 I also made the smallest I could with DSP measuring 6" x  6" scored at 2" on all 4 sides to be topped with the 2nd smallest Framelits die that was dry embossed with the smallest. The best tutorial on how to do this can be found here. I found that the perfect sandwich for dry embossing on my Bigshot is;
1)Tab 1
2)Cutting Plate
3) Silicone Mat
4) CS
5) Labels Framelits -cutting side up.
6) plain copy paper
7) cutting plate
On the little ones I used Twitterpated (new) & Everyday Enchantment DSP (SAB retired), the Velvet ribbon is also now retired. Also added a stamped & markered image from the new "Apothecary Art" Stamp set on the Twitterpated one. So cute IRL & not only makes a special card but perfect for popping in some easter treats or little gift as well.
