Brocade Basics Envelope

On the menu;
Yummy Chocolate Satin Ribbon & Styled Silver Hodgepodge from Stampin' Up!, where co-ordination and creativity are on the menu in the Spring mini catalogue & only 1 day to go!
This was my first creation with "Brocade Basics" -I obviously have to many sets as I forgot about this one until I recently got some Brocade Background DS paper. I have been making gifts lately with the Five in One Card Cover template & this is a large envelope that holds assorted scatchies -made for Cass for her Birthday -Happy Birthday.

Apple Cider flip flop card

I'm loving the Apple Cider DS papers & how it co-ordinates with many sets, I've seen the tutorial online for the flip flop card a while back -must say I'm glad I've made one, these cards were fun to make (maybe it had something to do with the company) Hi Kate! It was great having you here.

Bloomin' with Beauty

When I finished watercolouring this image & was deciding on the layout for the card, I pulled out my "Natural Beauty" cards for inspiration & amongst them was this one Cass did for convention swaps, so I had to try it with "Bloomin' with Beauty" from the new Spring mini catalogue -not long now! I really like the use of the blossom meaning stamp as a background & I didn't need to use the stamp-a-ma-jig either, the colours are Regal Rose, Rose Red & Mellow Moss with Very Vanilla.

Always on my mind

I've managed to get a little stamping time in between visitors over the past few weeks, I have so much I want to do now that I have my new sets from the Spring mini & this set "Always" is for my niece as she loves it but before I part with it I had to have a play, the colours are Chocolate Chip, Rose red & Naturals Ivory, I stamped the bird first & masked it before stamping "En Francais" (just inked up a 1/4 of it) I sponged -with a sponge & edges with daubers, I stamped the branch image in both creamy Caramel & Chocolate Chip, I only inked up some of the quote & added some hodgepodge & finished it with some Chocolate satin ribbon -to big?? I wasn't sure but I had to use it, it is so pretty & suprisingly easy to tie.

Always Bonjour

Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow & Naturals Ivory, cs. "Always", "En Francais" & "Carte Postale" stamp sets, hodgepodge & Chocolate Taffeta ribbon.

All in the Family baby

Welcome to the world little one!
I had to get my "All in the Family" set out for this one now that we have the scallop punch, the little baby image mounted on it looks great & it would be a perfect size for the Love Notes, anyway this one needed another layer so I got out my cuttlebug & nestabilities -yes I do have other tools & supplies apart from SU but I don't use them nearly as much, SU has more than enough products to create the best cards! & more so now with scrapbooking as well. I used some DS paper -Spring Flowers, some Pink Taffeta ribbon which is just beautiful -you can kind of shape the bow & tails to sit how you want. I stamped the "Polka Dot" Background stamp on Pretty in Pink CS in versa mark & a teany bit of watercolouring with crayons finishes the card off nicely I think.

Paisley Spinner Card

Yes another spinner & this was my first attempt at one, I used Old Olive Prints DS paper, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White CS & Earth Elements Markers to ink up the paisley from "Polka Dots & Paisley" stamp set -see posts below for more samples & tutorial on the spinner card.

Black Magic

I don't own watercolour pencils, but my friend Suzy here on the Gold Coast lived in the US a few years ago & bought alot of SU products while she was there & happened to have a pack of pencils so I've borrowed them & have given the Black Magic technique a go, I've mounted the large flower from "Fabulous Flowers" on Wild Wasabi & then onto Not Quite Navy, thankyou is from "Short & Sweet" stamp set & is embossed in white & word window punched. It is important to ink the image well in craft white ink & let completely dry before you colour with pencils & I blended with an aquapainter, but that's not necessary. I have stamped off more images & will post another soon.

spinner secret garden

I love the "Secret Garden" simply scrappin kit & since I've been on a roll making spinner cards I couldn't resist opening the pack for these, Happy Birthday from "It's Your Birthday" stamp set & the brads will be available in August & are from the Spring Mini! See the post below for the link to the tutorial for a spinner card.

Happy 2nd 21st Matt!
I have been making lots of "spinner" cards lately & on this particular one I used Jersey Shore papers & co-ordinating cardstock, the M is from "Wild West Alphabet" set, I love the perfect spin you get when you use the circle punches. Here's the tutorial I found for directions on you tube -I only used 1 five cent piece & less dimensional, but the measurements are the same.

Whimsy easy!

"Garden Whimsy" in River Rock, Purely Pomegranite, Groovy Guava & Regal Rose, now to make another card or 2 with the left over bits!

bookmark

A bookmark made in minutes! The ribbon is 26cm long & I used staples to attach the 2 scallops to the ribbon, simply fold the ribbon in 1/2 & place a scallop on either side -line them up keeping the ribbon as high to the scallops but not poking through & staple all together, this bookmark clips over the page so it's important that you don't staple to low either. Stamp your monogram on white cs in Wild Wasabi ink & punch out with the 1 1/4" punch, you will also need one on the reverse, so stamp another monogram or as I did use a background stamp like "En Francais", layer these onto Regal Rose 1 3/4" circles & onto the Wild Wasabi scallops. Here are some other ideas to use.
