Scallop Envelope die gift basket

I followed this tutorial, I liked the no cutting & not having to adhere the bottom of the box. The handle has a ribbon rose on it but the angle of the photo doesn't do it justice, it looks so cute IRL. I'm trying to put up a little video tutorial on these, just need to find a little time to work out how, LOL.

Scallop Circle die Card

I'm loving the Circle Scallop Die for cards. I made this one for Teya's Best Friends B'day, so cute! Colours are Melon Mambo, Pirouette Pink & Kiwi Kiss.

Manhattan Impression

Look familiar? take a look on page 11 of the autumn-winter mini, all I did was use Raspberry Tart DSP instead of textured CS.

Cottage Wall patchwork card

A nice way to showcase just how pretty "Cottage Wall" DSP is.
Supplies used;
Cottage wall DSP (2 squares of each sheet), 1 1/4" square, Small, large & Oval punch's, Top note Die, Perfect Polka Dots impressions folder (I ran my Whisper White ink pad over the top to highlight the dots). Colours are Rich Razzleberry, Pale plum & Old Olive. The Topnote edges are sponged to make the patchwork stand out more. I used the White Backing sheet from DSP packs for my patchwork base (cut at 5" x 3.75") then glued down each 1 1/4" square with Tombo, then ran it through the Bigshot.

Bigshot's first play

First of all It's good to be home (We enjoyed our Easter cruise on the Pacific Dawn) & back to blogging, I have no excuse for the lack of, well except computors can be time absorbing! I stayed up 'till 2am  last Thursday -the day my Bigshot arrived! & here are the gorgeous cards I made, some cased & all inspired in some way by creators who have had their hands & minds on the die's & accessories for the Bigshot for some time (Splitcoast Stampers). That's were I saw the Tulips (made from the wing on the Extra Large Two-Step Bird Punch) & thankyou to the talented creator of the Topnote gift card holder card, -never thought to add it to a cardfront, here's a pic of the inside;

I have also been making Ribbon Roses (so many ways!) & the Scallop Circle B'day card that has a little Pink Taffeta Ribbon Rose on it, is made my favourite way -the quickest, no sewing & no glueing, it's hard to explain, remember "streamer folding" (not even sure if that's what it's called!) it forms a chain streamer linked together using 2 different colours, well you do this with the ribbon & then pull 1 tail & it scrunches into a rose -I think a video is called for to explain, LOL. I'll work on getting back soon with better instructions if you like it?
I know most of the hearts I used on the Friend card are retired but I had most stamped & ready to be adhered to a mini envelope I made ages ago -boy I'm glad we now have a die for that, anyway I found the stash of Hearts so I went a little crazy on that one.

Colour Renovation

Bringing you a new world of colour with Stampin' Up!'s Colour Renovation.

I’m thrilled with this change & totally agree it’s what we need, I can see myself using all the colours (currently I don’t use or own several!), I will however miss a few & are sad they were chosen to retire, being Sage Shadow, Ruby Red & Taken with Teal but hey I look at it as a few lost and many more gained. It won’t take effect here in OZ ‘till September 1 with the release of the New Idea Book & Catalogue, giving us plenty of time to decide what we will do for this transition.

The new colour palette is organized into four collections making up 40 Stampin' Up! Core Colours (10 colours in each--no longer called colour families): Brights, Neutrals, Regals and Subtles. Check the colour chart to the right to see what the new collection looks like.You will see 25 of our current colours remaining, and ten past In Colours returning as core colours, and the addition of five new core colours.
