Creative cardmaking & papercraft

That's my cheers card on the front cover & inside are 2 double pages "Oh baby" & another 3 single pages. (pg 58 is not my card -a boo-boo in publishing!) I'll show the cards individually over the next month as I have so many cards to post using the new Spring mini products & want to show you those first. You could check out the magazine at a newsagent in the meantime as it has other SU cards in it including my uplines Angela Sargeant, who is also on the cover.

Peek-A-Boo great friend box

This is one of the first things I made with my new Spring mini products, the stamp set I used "Great Friend" is just gorgeous, you can find the tutorial for this cute little window box here, colours I used are Pretty in Pink, Baja Breeze & Kiwi Kiss. I stamped the butterfly randomly inked up in Pretty in Pink while the box was flat & then I highlighted some of the leaves & stems on the butterfly with my White Gel pen. I stamped the butterfly, stems x2 on Whisper White & cut those out, I punched out the Baja Breeze flowers with the Trio Flower Punch & adhered them alltogether with a pop-up glue dot, some 1/2 pearls & White grosgrain Ribbon tied in a flat knot at the front to finish it off. The DS paper the box is sitting on is from the Spring mini & I can't wait to show you the cards I made with it.

Thoughts & Prayers cards

When I first saw this set in the catalogue I was taken by it's beautiful & meaningful greetings, although sad that I had to use it this way (friends father passed away) I was happy to create a card that says what is otherwise hard to express.
Colours are Always Artichoke, So Saffron & Bravo Burgandy with Very Vanilla & some DS Paper from Windsor Knot.

Flower pot cards

The instructions for these little cuties are now on SCS, they are so cute & pretty easy to make. I used Textured CS & an Eyelet Border Punch along the pot edge, my flowers are punched out with the 5-Petal Flower Punch & the centres are the Trio Flower Punch.

Bella Rose vellum card

Bella Rose DS paper overlaid with vellum, Thinking of You from "Thoughts & Prayers" stamp set, Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon, Styled Silver Holder & Pretties 1/2 Pearls on a Ridig Hood Red card.

Baroque Motifs SSC make-n-takes

SUPPLIES
Baroque Motifs stamp set,
Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze & Whisper White Cardstock,
Not Quite Navy & Baja Breeze ink,
White Taffeta Ribbon.
Dimensionals & Snail Adhesive,


INSTRUCTIONS
1. Lightly stick down the Whisper White piece in the centre before stamping the Swirl inked with Baja Breeze onto both the Whisper White & Baja Breeze cardfront.
2. Remove the White piece & add some little flowers inked in Not Quite Navy & stamp “Cherish” or greeting in the bottom right hand corner.
3. Wrap the Taffeta ribbon around & tie into a knot at the front & position the ribbon to the left, now attach this onto the Not Quite Navy piece with Snail Adhesive,
4. Adhere the mounted Not Quite Navy piece to the cardfront with Dimensionals lining it up with the swirl.

For the 3X3 card the first motif is stamped on the Whisper White cardstock then the other 2 flowers are cut out & layered on & the card is finished with a half pearl, -love it!

Rock-a-Bye baby boat card

"Nursery Necessities" is definately a necessity for me when it comes to baby cards, I just can't seem to go past it! For the waves I used the wave stamp from "Just Surfing" & stamped it 3 times along side eachother & cut it out freehand, DS papers are Good Morning Sunshine - I stamped the boat image on the reverse of the paper to make cutting out easy & used a white gel pen to highlight the boat hull, colours are Pacific Point, Bashful Blue the sail is Kiwi Kiss on a Whisper White card.

Fifth Ave Floral card

I continued making cards when I made Kylies 4oth invites & came up with this one. I used Urban Oasis DS papers & Vellum over the top, I embossed the rose in Silver 3 times & cut it out each time smaller & layered with Dimensionals. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Bloomin Beautiful card

I saw this stamp combo used on SCS & just had to case it "Bloomin with Beauty" & "Dreams du Jour" colours I used are Riding Hood Red & Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black & Whisper White, I watercoloured the flower with my aqua painter real quick as it's not on Watercolour paper but I was real happy with the result.

Fresh Cuts notes card

These Fresh cut notes & "Fresh cuts" stamp set make it so quick & easy to create beatiful cards, colours here are Kiwi Kiss & Pacific Point, I've built a Brad using Good Morning Sunshine DS paper (1/2" circle punch), we made these on my last visit to Sydney, see pic below for colour variations & centres.
